Privacy Policy

Who we are

SINKRO Ltd, Washington, Tyne and Wear, UK, is the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us at enquiries@sinkro.co.uk.

What data we collect

• Your name, email address, company name and purchase order reference, when you buy a licence or request a quote.
• Licence and activation details, including the serial numbers issued to you and the machine a licence is activated against.
• A verification code sent to your email address to confirm it belongs to you.

We do not see or store your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe on their own checkout pages.

Why we use your data

We use your details to issue and support your licence, to send you the invoices and confirmations relating to your order, and to answer enquiries you send us. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running and supporting the product. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Who we share your data with

Only the providers we need to deliver the service: Stripe, to take payment, and our email provider, to deliver licence emails and verification codes. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to accept. We use only the following, all of which are necessary for features you have asked for:

• A login cookie, set only for our own staff when signing in to the admin area.
• Your name, email, company and purchase order reference, saved in your browser so the purchase form is not lost if you navigate away. This stays on your device.
• Your activation form entries, saved in your browser for the same reason.
• Which sections of the documentation menu you have opened.

Clearing your browser data for this site removes all of these. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages, which are covered by Stripe's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep licence and order records for as long as the licence is supported, and for six years afterwards where we need to for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email enquiries@sinkro.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
